These are skill groups for this tournament, not a full official NXL classification.
Format
How it is played
Provisional: the format may change once the number of registered teams is reviewed.
Both divisions play 5 vs 5 X-Ball: 8 minutes net playing time, Race to 3. The first team to score 3 points wins the match. The clock only runs during play; breaks fall outside those eight minutes. There is a two-minute break between regular points.
We play according to the NXL Europe 2026 rules, with the cup agreements on match length, Race to 3 and overtime on top.
Full explanation: overtime and 1-vs-1
If the score is tied after eight minutes, a two-minute break is followed by up to three minutes of overtime, 5 vs 5. The first team to score wins immediately.
If there is still no winner — because time ran out or there are no active players left — a two-minute break follows. Each team chooses one player for a 1-vs-1 of up to two minutes. You win by eliminating your opponent or pressing the buzzer at their base. If nobody is hit, the player furthest into the opponent's half wins.
If that produces no winner, a one-minute break follows, each team chooses a different player and the 1-vs-1 is repeated until there is a winner. A player only plays again once every player on the team roster has had a turn.
Each team has one one-minute timeout per match. It cannot be called in the last ten seconds before the start of a point. An unused timeout may be used before overtime.
This overtime procedure applies in both divisions, including pool matches and when divisions are merged. The two-minute breaks before overtime and before the first 1-vs-1 are additional cup agreements.

Frequently asked questions about the tournament
Is this an NXL tournament?
No. This is an independent event by Adventure Paradise. We play on the field layout used for the NXL World Cup 2026, but the event is not organised, sponsored or officially affiliated with the NXL.
What do I pay and what is included?
You pay a € 499 entry fee for the whole team. It is BYO (bring your own): paint is not included.
Which paint may I use?
BYO means bring your own: you may bring your own favourite paint brand. Proshar paint can be ordered via WhatsApp; you collect and pay for it at Adventure Paradise.
What does Race to 3 mean?
Provisionally we play Race to 3: the first team with 3 points wins. The final format follows after registration closes.
How does playing time work?
Provisionally a match lasts 8 minutes of net playing time, excluding breaks. There is a two-minute break between regular points. The final format follows after registration closes.
What happens in a tie?
A tie leads to overtime and, if necessary, 1-vs-1. Open the full overtime procedure using the link below these questions.
How many timeouts do I have?
Each team has one one-minute timeout per match. It cannot be called in the last ten seconds before the start of a point. An unused timeout may be used before overtime.
How are the divisions formed?
After registration closes, Adventure Paradise decides the final divisions and format. If changes are needed, we contact the teams involved personally. Each division needs at least 5 paid teams, so the number of divisions depends on registrations: if, for example, 1 Semi-Pro team and 7 Amateur teams register, the Semi-Pro team plays in one larger division.
When will I know my schedule?
Registration closes on Sunday 8 November 2026. Once all registrations are in, we announce the final divisions and schedule on Monday 9 November, including your start time.
How many players can my team have?
That is up to you: there is no fixed team size and no limit on the number of substitutes. Matches are played 5 vs 5.
What if the organiser cancels the cup?
If Adventure Paradise cancels the AP Cup, your team receives the full entry fee back, whatever the reason — including bad weather or force majeure.
What happens to my data?
